Das Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung hat in Kooperation mit dem VDI-Technologiezentrum in Düsseldorf am 22.September 2004 einen eintägigen Workshop mit dem Titel "Berufliche Bildung für Optische Technologien - Bedarf und Perspektiven" durchgeführt. Mit der Veranstaltung wurden zwei Forschungslinien zusammengeführt: Untersuchung des Qualifikationsbedarfs für Optische Technologien in Großunternehmen, kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen sowie dem Handwerk (VDI-Technologiezentrum) sowie Handlungsperspektiven der Berufsbildung im Feld Optische Technologien.

New young people? New vocational training? Findings from youth and education research

The BIBB/DJI conference will examine the impact current societal and economic changes are having on the personality development and career planning of youths; the transition from secondary school to vocational training; and the influence had by the quality of dual vocational training. Based on selected studies conducted by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB), the German Youth Institute (DJI) and other research institutes, the conference will discuss the consequences that arise from this for the vocational training system and the resultant tasks for trade, industry, the political sector and persons responsible for education and training.

Potential for Flexibility in Initial and Continuing Vocational Training

Manifold findings for the use of innovative vocational training regulations in small and medium-sized enterprises have been generated by 28 economic model experiments that were conducted nationwide under the Potential for Flexibility in Initial and Continuing Vocational Training programme which was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The impact that these findings will have, the interest they are drawing and their transfer into day-to-day VET practice, policy and research in various fields of vocational education and training is currently being examined on a systematic basis by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training. A conference with participants from throughout Germany and European experts will be held on 22 - 23 April 2009 in Bonn-Bad Godesberg where findings and objectives that have been reached will be presented and discussed with experts from day-to-day practice, research and the political sector. Taking a look at the projects "from the outside" will open up new perspectives and points of view as well as intensify and ensure the transfer of project findings. The conference will help make the findings and changes that have been achieved available to a broader public beyond the programme and associated projects.

Bausteine zur Flexibilisierung der Berufsausbildung in Berlin

Das Fachgespräch fand im Rahmen des von SPI-Consult durchgeführten Projekts MediNet statt.
Das Projekt MediNet plus zielt auf die Flexibilisierung von Ausbildungsstrukturen bezogen auf das Wachstumscluster Gesundheitswirtschaft in Berlin. Dabei nutzt MediNet plus Netzwerkstrukturen, die im Rahmen des ebenfalls von der SPI Consult GmbH durchgeführten JOBSTARTER-Projektes "MediNet Berlin - Ausbildungsnetzwerk in der Gesundheitswirtschaft" aufgebaut worden sind.

Handlungsorientierte Prüfungsaufgaben - aber wie?

Seit vielen Jahren wird Handlungskompetenz in der beruflichen Ausbildung in den Ausbildungsberufen festgeschrieben und im Rahmen der Abschlussprüfung abgeprüft.

Mit der Handlungsorientierung wurden neue Prüfungskonzepte entwickelt, die ein positives Echo in der Praxis gefunden haben. Ziel der Fachtagung ist es, die Ergebnisse der Implementation und Evaluation einer breiten Fachöffentlichkeit vorzustellen und über einen Wissens- und Erfahrungsaustausch die innovative Weiterentwicklung des "Werkzeugkastens" zu diskutieren.

Die Tagung ist ausgebucht. Leider können keine Anmeldungen mehr berücksichtigt werden.

Workshop Berufsorientierung

Ein erster Erfahrungsaustausch zum neuen Programm des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) "Förderung der  Berufsorientierung in überbetrieblichen und vergleichbaren Berufsbildungsstätten" fand am 15. und 16.09.2008 im BMBF statt. Bildungsträger, die bereits erste Maßnahmen zur Berufsorientierung erfolgreich abgeschlossen haben, diskutierten mit Experten und Vertretern von Bildungsinstitutionen, die Berufsorientierungsmaßnahmen für Schülerinnen und Schüler allgemeinbildender Schulen planen. Die Tatsache, dass Gäste aus dem gesamten Bundesgebiet gekommen waren, wobei die östlichen Bundesländer besonders zahlreich vertreten waren, beweist das große Interesse an diesem Förderprogramm.

2. Continuing Vocational Training for Older Workers - Concepts and Areas of Activity

There is a consensus in the education policy field over the necessity of lifelong learning. Due to demographic change, the concomitant ageing of the workforce, the extension of the individual's working life and steps being taken to make it more difficult to take early retirement, older workers in particular are taking centre stage in continuing vocational training concepts.

1. Digital Media in Vocational Education and Training. Concepts for, Experience with and Outlooks for Cooperation between Learning Venues

This conference will highlight the challenges facing education personnel in connection with the successful and constructive use of digital media in vocational education and training. The demands that must be placed on youths and trainees in order to ensure a structured and outcome-oriented use of digital media will also be reflected in this context. Actual and established examples for the use of digital media in enterprises and vocational schools will be presented and discussed. Digital media's potential for organizing and shaping collaborative learning and working contexts, for developing a culture of learning during employment and for establishing new forms of cooperation between learning venues is far from being exhausted and will be the subject of the 'outlooks' discussion that will be conducted in connection with the conference.

2. Fachtagung 2007 zum Modellversuchsprogramm "Flexibilitätsspielräume für die Aus- und Weiterbildung".

Second National Conference on Sustainability in Vocational Training and Work

The Second National Conference - being organized by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the activities being undertaken to mark the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development - marks a milestone in the development of vocational training for sustainable development. Numerous groups and individuals are helping with preparatory work and with the actual conference in continuation of an already long-ongoing dialogue between theory and practice and in conjunction with the activities taking place as part of the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development being held from 2005 through 2014.

At the behest of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI) has drawn up an implementation guide for the examination regulations of industrial and craft trade electrical occupations. This specialist conference will include an explanation of the implementation guidelines and a debate on the new examination structures and forms as well as presenting examples of examination questions for electrical occupations and occupations in the metal industry.
