Still a chance of winning with continuing training!
- BIBB extends entry deadline for Education Innovation Prize (WIP) 2006 -
Promoting innovative offers in the area of vocational and in-company continuing training and thus blazing the trail for new developments are the aims of the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) with the Education Innovation Prize (WIP), being offered for the sixth time this year. The institute has extended the entry deadline until 1 August 2005 to appeal one more time to potentially interested parties to participate in the 2006 WIP and take advantage of the opportunity not only to win a prize with their project but also use the chance of giving it greater public exposure.
Five prizes of €2,500 each will be awarded
Training service providers, organisations, institutions and companies from Germany and abroad who have developed innovative concepts for vocational / in-company continuing training are eligible to enter the competition. The concepts may be aimed at conveying specialist, personnel, social or methodological skills and may, for example:
- convey a new occupational profile with new qualifications,
- combine traditional qualifications in a new way,
- extend an existing occupational profile with new qualifications,
- offer new, target group specific qualifications profiles,
- deploy new teaching /learning methods or forms of organisation of learning or
- implement new qualifications concepts within the work process.
Concepts for pre-vocational training and vocational education and training of young people as well as concepts aimed exclusively at graduates of university-level institutions are excluded.
The new deadline for submission of entries is 1 August 2005
The awarding of prizes will be decided by an independent jury. The awards ceremony will take place at the Educational Fair in Hanover in the spring of 2006. The Prime Minister of the State of Lower Saxony, Mr Christian Wulff, will be patron of the awards.
There will be reports about the prizewinners and the winning measures in the press, specialist journals and online.
