Impetuses for reform process in Portugal
BIBB is supporting and providing evaluation research for a German-Portuguese Training Project for company-based tutors. The training project, which is being conducted by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Lisbon in conjunction with German experts, is the first specific element of VET vocational education and training cooperation between Germany and Portugal.
The German-Portuguese project is of particular interest for two reasons. Firstly, it focuses on the group of training staff that is taking on a key role in the introduction of more practically oriented training within the companies. Secondly, it offers an outstanding opportunity to foster cooperation between Portugal's most important bodies for vocational education and training. The aim is for this to be supported by the methods deployed, primarily the conducting of case studies and workshops. This will enable successful implementation of the German-Portuguese project to deliver important impetuses for the further reform process in Portugal.
