Keep track of things - with LänderAKTIV, BIBB's new Online Portal!
To further dismantle the existing hurdles to transition from school to career and work, the 16 Federal states offer numerous promotion projects and programmes for young people. Owing to the decentralised structure, the diverse activities of the Federal states at this so-called "first threshold" have up to now been difficult to access. This is now corrected by LänderAKTIV, the new Internet portal of the Good Practice Center (GPC) at the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). LänderAKTIV offers the first comprehensive overview of the diversified promotion landscape from Flensburg to Füssen in the field of transition from school to career.
The new BIBB online offer presents promotion projects and programmes, examples of Good
Practice and practice materials from two different perspectives:

- for each Federal state (geographic access) and
- by institution (learning venue related access). This approach comprises opportunities offered by the schools of general education for vocational guidance, those offered by the vocational schools for vocational preparation and out-of-school offers (Vocational Assistance for Youth).
Under the motto "learning from others", LänderAKTIV supports persons responsible for education policy as well as experts in the school - work transition field.
The new BIBB Internet site was established in particular for

- Multipliers in politics and business,
- Trainers,
- Teachers in schools of general and vocational education and
- Social education workers.
LänderAKTIV is currently being supplemented with additional information on the 16 Federal states and on the themes of vocational preparation, vocational guidance and vocational assistance for youth. The new online site was developed by the BIBB's Good Practice Center on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
