BIBB launches photo competition: "How do apprentices view their training place?"
True to the motto that "a picture paints a thousand words", the Federal Institute for Voca-tional Education and Training (BIBB) has launched a photo competition on the theme of "How do apprentices view their training place?" All young people in vocational education and training who enjoy photography are eligible to enter. The aim is to provide them with the opportunity of using expressive photos to convey an impression of their training and the training content involved. Trainees are invited to give free rein to their creativity and provide a striking representation of their training occupation by, for example, capturing typical situations and moments on camera. The rules of the competition require the digital picture files to be submitted via the BIBB Internet portal.
An independent jury will judge all the submissions and award three prizes. A public prize giving ceremony will take place as part of the 5th BIBB Congress "Mobilising potential for the future of vocational education and training - shaping change" (12 to 14 September 2007 in Düsseldorf). The following cash prizes will also be awarded:
-
1st Prize: 400 Euro
-
2nd Prize: 300 Euro
-
3rd Prize: 200 Euro
Deadline for entries is 30 March 2007.
The best pictures will also be put on show to the estimated 2.000 participants as part of an exhibition to accompany the Congress.
