Creative and expressive images - Trainees photograph their training places
5th BIBB Congress in Düsseldorf - Award ceremony for photo competition
"A picture says more than a thousand words." In keeping with this saying, the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training ("BIBB") launched a photo competition this spring on the subject of How Do Trainees See Their Training Place? - and met with strong interest. Nearly 500 trainees at a large number of companies that provide in-house vocational training entered the BIBB photo contest. They submitted more than 1,000 photographs in which they look at the gist of their training in creative, expressive ways. The award ceremony for the best submissions was held today in Düsseldorf at the 5th BIBB Congress "Vocational Education and Training as the Path of the Future: Mobilise potential, shape change".
The photo competition was organized and conducted by a team of six trainees at the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training. These six young people are undergoing training at BIBB to become either an office assistant or specialist in media and information services. A panel of experts singled out the following entries as the best submissions:
1st prize (€ 400):
Maike Wohnig, trainee for the occupation men's tailor, Darmstadt
2nd prize (€ 300):
Alexandra Huch, trainee for the occupation specialist in media and information services - librarianship, Bad Elster
3rd prize (€ 200 each):
- Sabine Mayerhofer, trainee for the occupation photographer, Fürstenzell
- Benedikt Knüttel, trainee for the occupation electronics technician, Elfershausen
