Vocational Learning Pathways and Training Careers / Promotion of Target Groups

Tasks and responsibilities

The work conducted by Section 3.1 revolves around the topics: transitions by individuals in the education system and permeability between vocational, general and higher education during the course of the individual's education in the context of lifelong learning, with an eye to developing innovative concepts for fostering and supporting target groups in the initial and continuing vocational training field. Work on these topics also entails the analysis and development of education policy concepts for target group-specific training and skills development, and issues pertaining to equal treatment and equality of opportunity (gender mainstreaming, cultural mainstreaming). Section 3.1 develops and refines guidance and advisory offerings for learners and instructors. This work is closely connected with the above-mentioned thematic areas and issues.
