- Hotel Maritim Königswinter, 10th - 11th December 2009 -

There is a high demand for methods and instruments that aid VET experts to analyse and evaluate systems, to recognise strengths and weaknesses as well as to identify possible areas for system development and to observe improvement.
The aim of the workshop is to take stock of such methods and instruments and to provide an opportunity for mutual exchange of experience and in-depth discussion.

Contributions will be selected through a call for papers. The deadline is September 14th 2009.

Central topics of the workshop will be:

  • System analysis:
    A general overview about the available analyses of the genesis and development of VET systems;
  • Indicators & benchmarks:
    Supervising the  'status quo' or heading towards certain targets - both instruments are used for international comparison and for advising national policy makers;
  • Peer review & peer learning:
    In order to capture opinions of experts and facts and experiences that cannot be depicted through indicators solely, different models for the instruments are in use.

For further information about the content and the organisation of the workshop as well as registration, please take a look at the documents below.

Registration is no longer possible, because the Expert Workshop is fully booked.
