The ordering process

When you have found all the articles you are looking for, conclude your order by clicking on the shopping cart. The order process is divided into the four stages below. You may return to the previous stage at any time if, for example, you have entered the wrong information.

Step 1: shopping cart

The shopping cart shows all articles which you have deposited. You have the opportunity to alter the quantities you have ordered or to delete items from the shopping cart. The total cost payable including postage and packaging and VAT will also be displayed to you at this point. You will also be provided with information on which publishing houses you are buying your products from. The books, CD ROMS and other media on offer are purchased directly from the publishing houses. The publishers will arrange for delivery and invoicing of the items described. The file downloads (PDF documents) are provided directly by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). These may be paid for and downloaded online (credit card payment). If you are happy with your product selection, click on "Next".

Step 2: order data

For stage 2, order data, log on using your user data in the form of  your user name and the password chosen at registration.

If you have forgotten your password, use the reminder facility to have your access data sent to your e-mail address. If you are a new customer and do not yet have an account, create such an account via the registration function. Enter your chosen registration data such as user name and password and provide your name and invoice and delivery addresses. You will then receive an authentication e-mail which requires you to confirm your registration on a one-time basis. You may subsequently amend your data at any time via the "Your customer data" menu item.

Once you have logged in, you may still alter your invoice or delivery address if necessary. If you have deposited PDF documents into your shopping cart for direct download, a form containing credit card information will be displayed. You will need to accept the General Terms and Conditions and send the data. We will only use your personal data for the purpose of processing your order.

Step 3: order summary

The order summary which is now displayed provides you with another opportunity to review your order. Your products will once again be shown, including relevant postage and packaging costs, delivery address, invoice address and (in the case that you are ordering an online publication) your credit card information. If you are happy with everything, conclude your order by clicking on the link "Order and pay for selected articles".

Step 4: confirmation

Finally, you will be provided with confirmation that your order has been received. Your order will be passed on to the partner publishing houses for processing.
Digital publications which you have purchased by credit card will now be made available for download. You will also receive a e-mail confirming receipt of order and a link via which you may again access the digital publications you have purchased.
