Structures and chances in a dual system vocational field
This volume contains the results of statistical analyses which examine the significance of technical occupations and project possible future trends. The topic is dealt with from three points of view. The first aspect under examination looks at the extent to which newly created training professions have contributed to the modernisation of the vocational training system and its technological focus. There then follows a comparative study of the development of training and employment in the technical professions. Finally, the costs incurred by companies for training in the technical professions are examined. This seeks to ascertain the level of resources required for successful training. In conclusion, the results are evaluated to determine the extent to which the future demand for skilled workers can be met.
