International Competences in Vocational Education and Training
Current status of research and practical requirements
The reader contains the current research status and perspectives in the field of "international competencies in vocational education and training". Its scope takes in the definition, evolution and implementation of international competencies in the German regulatory standards for vocational education and training, the different learning venues including the "new" option of placements abroad, and questions about the mobility of trainees in Europe. Considerable space is devoted to possible methods of teaching international competencies. The authors underscore the necessity for the organisations involved to internationalise their outlook in order to lend full support to national and whole-of-Europe competitiveness goals.
