The guests were briefed on the fundamentals of the dual system of vocational education and training, and on the work of BIBB. "Media use for the training of vocational training staff" was another theme on the agenda.
The Thai representatives made it clear during their visit that the new government sees vocational education as a top priority and intends to reform it and upgrade its social prestige. They showed great interest in the German dual system of vocational education and in cooperating closely with BIBB, particularly on the development of new training profiles in the sectors of hydraulic engineering, renewable energies and environmental technology.
