The Working Group addressed the progress made on the basis of the roadmap adopted at the last meeting held in Munich in October 2011 and agreed on concrete projects. The Indian partners emphasized several times the quality resulting from their collaboration with Germany. This is a departure from the previous "numbers game" of wanting to provide vocational training for some 500 Indians by the year 2022.

As part of the meeting of the German-Indian Working Group, the delegation also visited the government-operated Industrial Training Institute for Women and the JK Institute of Technology, gaining insight into the underlying conditions for training activities at these selected facilities.
On the Indian side, the Working Group was headed by the state secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE), Dr Mrutyunjay Sarangi: His delegation also included representatives of the industrial associations belonging to the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), representatives of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and MoLE institutions such as the Central Staff Training and Research Institute (CSTARI) and the APEX Hi-Tech Institute.
