Training Allowance

Training Allowance Database

Logo Training Allowance Database

For more than 30 years the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training has been observing and analyzing the development of agreed training allowances. A "Training Allowance Database" has been set up for this purpose which facilitates the identification of the average allowance for almost all training occupations that are statistically relevant. The database is updated every year (reference date: October 1).

Currently the database contains data about 186 training occupations in the old Federal states and 151 training occupations in the new Federal states. At the moment, 88% of the trainees in the old and 80% of those in the new Federal states are trained in the occupations recorded in the database.

The most important results of the regular analyses of the data are published every year.
The results of the most recent analysis are for the year 2006; they have been published in Press Release 1/2007.
