Now online - Multi-language database for continuing vocational education and training
In a move to make the extensive range of continuing education and training options being offered by German providers known throughout the world, the iMOVE office at the Federal Institute for Vocational Training ("BIBB") has made Germany's first multi-language database for continuing vocational education and training available to the public at www.imove-germany.org. German continuing education and training providers can now use the iMOVE database to selectively market their services worldwide.
Using a special online access, providers can feed the database with information about their company and services in up to seven different languages (German, English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian and Arabic). "The iMOVE database's use of several languages offers a unique advantage because decision-makers prefer to inform themselves in their own language about continuing training opportunities," Sabine Gummersbach-Majoroh, head of the iMOVE office, explained.
For the first time ever, the multi-language iMOVE database offers interested persons throughout the world a tool for searching the Internet for continuing education and training opportunities that are "Made in Germany". The iMOVE database lists continuing education and training programmes that are conducted in a foreign language in Germany or other countries. iMOVE can help users find tailor-made offerings such a e-learning or blended learning arrangements as well.
An interactive "cooperation exchange" where users can look for business partners at home or abroad is another service visitors to www.imove-germany.org will find.
Germany's Federal Ministry of Education and Research set up the iMOVE (International Marketing Of Vocational Education) office at the Federal Institute for Vocational Training in 2001. iMOVE helps German providers market their basic and continuing vocational training offerings to an international public under the banner "Training - Made in Germany".
iMOVE is part of the International Marketing for Germany as a Location for Education and Research campaign which revolves not only around vocational training but Germany's university and research sectors as well.
