Field of activity

Judicial clerks perform office and administrative duties in courts and public prosecution offices. They work predominantly in service units in the specialist areas of

civil procedure, enforcement, insolvency, family and matrimonial matters, criminal procedure, land registry, probate, guardianship and care, and public records.

Their duties include assisting members of the public seeking advice, taking into account their particular situations and interests.

  • record applications, legal appeals, legal remedies and declarations;
  • perform registration duties;
  • maintain files and card indexes;
  • process incoming and outgoing mail;

  • prepare and certify documents;
  • organize publications;
  • collect statistical data;
  • arrange for documents to be served and monitor execution of service;
  • make transcripts;
  • compute costs;
  • monitor incoming payments.
