3 years
The venues for training are the company and part-time vocational school (Berufsschule).

Field of activity

Builders of stoves and air heating systens work primarily in craftsmen's operations in the field of tiled stove, stove and fireplace construction, on building sites and in workshops. They are also sought-after specialists for specialist dealers in the field and in the manufacturing industry.

Occupational skills

Builders of stoves and air heating systems are responsible for

  • designing and constructing tiled stoves and plastered stoves, ovens, hand-crafted kitchen stoves and fireplaces
  • planning, producing and assembling hot air central heating installations, ventilation installations, electric storage heating, oil, gas and solid fuel burners, central heating oil supply systems and chimneys
  • assembling industrially produced fireplaces and connecting them to chimneys and supply systems
  • assembling panel heating installations, in particular hypocausts
  • installing heating and chimney inserts with hot water heat exchangers, including the regulation controls
  • planning and controlling working procedures, checking and evaluating work results and applying quality management instruments
  • mounting and dismantling pipe conduits, ducts and stove and air heating installation components
  • installing and checking electric subassemblies and components, as well as regulating, controlling, safety and monitoring equipment, and setting the default values
  • checking the functions of the stove and air heating installations, adjusting them and putting them into operation
  • providing customer services and conducting inspections and maintenance work
  • providing advice and support for customers with regard to company products and services, taking technical, ecological and economic aspects into account
  • handing over stoves and air heating installations and systems to customers, and providing an introduction to using the installations
