How can I start training in Germany as a foreigner?
Foreigners interested in training in Germany may contact the International Placement Services (Zentrale Auslands- und Fachvermittlung - ZAV) of the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit - BA).

How can I start to study in Germany as a foreigner?
The website "Study and Research in Germany" will tell you all you need to know about higher education study in Germany. Provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), it also includes course search and scholarship databases.
The DAAD website also provides detailed information on financing your studies as well as offering a database where you can enter your country of origin, your subject area and status (e.g. undergraduate) and find out about research funding opportunities. The web portal "Recognition in Germany" tells you how to have your vocational qualifications recognized in Germany. They guide you to the authority responsible in your particular case and provide important tips and documents for your recognition procedure.
You gained other qualifications in a foreign country and you want to have them recognized in Germany?
The Federal Recognition Act does not cover, among other things, school qualifications, higher education entrance qualifications, academic achievements and academic qualifications that lead to non-regulated professions.
