Continuing training in Germany as compared to other European countries

Continuing training in enterprises in Germany as compared to other European countries 0 A comparative analysis based on CVTS3 data; short title: CVTS3-Ana

The third European Continuing Vocational Training Survey (CVTS3) was carried out in the 27 EU member states and in Norway in 2006. The survey delivers information on continuing training activities conducted by companies in 2005 with regard to provision, forms, contents, scope, costs and implementation. The present project will use this survey as a basis for carrying out an analysis of in-company continuing training in Germany in European comparative terms. The first stage will involve using selected core indicators to draw up a summary of the position occupied by Germany compared to other countries. The second stage of the project will comprise an investigation of the thematic areas of in-company continuing training and internal/external implementation. Participation by various groups such as older persons, women or workers with fixed-term contracts will form a further object of study. The aim is for the analyses to take place on the basis of the micro data and on the basis of the tables published in the Eurostat Database.
