Electronics technicians for aerospace systems integrate electromechanical and electronic components into systems and put into operation and maintain these systems.
Typical fields of activity are aircraft production, aircraft maintenance, aircraft overhaul and refit, aeronautical equipment and spacecraft systems.
Electronics technicians for aerospace systems work independently, taking into account the relevant provisions and safety regulations, and coordinate their work with upstream and downstream units. They work as part of a team. They are qualified electricians within the meaning of the regulations for the prevention of accidents.

Electronics technicians for aerospace systems

• plan and control production processes, organize group work and individual operations,
• lay and connect power supply, signal and data lines,
• assemble components and equipment and install them to form systems,
• install and adjust sensor systems, components of electrical control systems as well as electro-pneumatic and hydraulic regulating elements,
• install, test and put into operation communication, navigation, radar and autopilot systems,
• install and configure software,
• set up testing facilities, simulate technical environments, record measured values, test and evaluate signals at interfaces,
• test pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic components and test them as parts of a whole system,
• analyse disturbances, elucidate the source of faults in systems, use test software and diagnostic systems, eliminate faults by replacing components and equipment,document the work process including the tests conducted,
• apply quality management systems,
• also work with English-language documents and communicate in English.
