Doctoral sponsorship, young researchers
Employees of the BIBB with the necessary qualifications and with plans to gain a doctorate with a research paper in vocational education and training research alongside their work are assisted in this by the BIBB. Support for this is provided in the form of exemption regulations (e.g. for attendance at university events), a network of PhD students within the BIBB, internal and external advanced training opportunities as well as assistance with the publication of the dissertation.
When providing support, preference is given to those dissertation projects in which the topic chosen has a connection to the work of the BIBB. A close thematic connection to the content of the project and the agreement of the funding provider is required for academic employees involved with third-party funded projects. The research director makes the final decision regarding support.
