Concept of the Process Learning Factory CiP

Antonio Kreß, Senior Researcher at the Technical University of Darmstadt “Institute für Production Management, Technology and Machine Tools”, will present “the Learning Factory”: It is a crucial prerequisite to develop competencies of employees on all hierarchy levels in order to enable fast problem solving and adaption to changing market conditions. Action-oriented learning approaches in learning factories show promising results. A systematic approach for the design of learning factory courses and systems, however, is missing. Antonio Kreß presents in this live session such a systematic approach for the competency-oriented development of learning factories integrating the conceptual design levels ‘learning factory’, ‘teaching module’ and ‘learning situation’. The session is in English.

More information on the learning factory is provided in the article Learning factory design: a competency-oriented approach integrating three design levels, published in 2015 in the International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing.
