Five promising start-ups selected
BIBB and its Brazilian partner SENAI promote projects for digital innovation in VET. The winning start-ups were selected in an international call from a total of 18 projects from Latin America, North America, Africa and Europe.
In July, five start-ups received funding commitments as part of a German-Brazilian call. Over the next six months, these start-ups will receive funding and expert advice on the proof of concept (POC) of their digital applications for VET. The international call was a unique cooperation project between BIBB and its Brazilian partner SENAI.
The winning start-ups were selected from a total of 18 projects from Latin America, North America, Africa and Europe. The jury of experts in VET and digital technologies paid particular attention to the intelligent integration of AI and VR in the applications. Following their successful application, the five start-ups now have the opportunity to test their application in SENAI training centres for six months, with expert advice from BIBB and SENAI and financial support of up to $10,000 from SENAI.
The following projects were selected:
- TeachersPRO (Finland) – Platform for the continuing training of teachers with competence-based learning challenges, AI mentoring and performance analysis.
- Seppo (Finland) – Tool for creating interactive learning games with AI, including multimedia content, real-time assessment and simulations
- World of VR (Germany) – virtual reality application for training in the energy sector and occupational safety
- Redmenta (Hungary) – AI assistant for creating personalised content for teaching, including an assessment tool and individual learning recommendations
- Seren (Brazil) – AI platform for career guidance with master classes and a multilingual career counselling tutor
BIBB is looking forward to the collaboration and the resulting impetus for German vocational education and training.
