Our responsibilities include the processing and dissemination on a target-group basis of BIBB research and work results, providing the latest information to the (expert) community and to the general public, and documenting specialist literature on topics within vocational education and training.

VET Repository

The VET Repository offers a systematic point of reference from 1988 onwards for all aspects of German-language vocational education and training and VET research. It can also be used as a publication platform for initial and secondary publications.

BIBB Publications

The main BIBB research and work results are published in a range of Open Access publication series. Publications from selected series are also available as printed copies. BIBB publications are intended for both research and practice and cover the broad range of vocational education and training topics.

Vocational Training in Research and Practice

The BIBB specialist journal publishes academic findings and practical experience of current issues in vocational education and training. It is published four times a year and each issue has a special focus. It has a broad readership from the areas of academia, policy-making and practice. All articles are available to download free of charge.

The VET Repository is available to the vocational education community as a free publication platform. Research results, conference proceedings, and practice reports from the field of vocational education can be published as initial or secondary publications.

We provide compilations of literature on around 50 different topics in vocational education and training research and practice. The selected biographies provide an overview of current discourse on a vocational educational and training topic.

The selected biographies are regularly updated and have been stored in the BIBB's VET repository since 2020. The most up-to-date selected biographies are listed below; older editions can be searched for via the VET Repository.

The Aktuell & lesenswert information service is published three times a year and contains references to new and interesting publications from the VET Repository. All literature references contain bibliographic information and abstracts and, for online publications, a link in each case to the full text.
