Webinar: Strengthening TVET systems through developing centres of vocational excellence
29.10.2026
In the third episode of the webinar series, we highlight how the “Towards a Global TVET Agenda” (TGTA) Initiative supports policy exchange on how to promote excellence in vocational education and training. Drawing on the European Training Foundation’s mapping of approaches to excellence in over 20 different countries, this webinar will showcase the potential of such findings for system level learning within the TGTA Initiative.
As part of the BMBFSFJ initiative Towards a Global TVET Agenda (TGTA), the TGTA team at BIBB, in collaboration with the European Training Foundation (ETF), is pleased to present a webinar exploring a core theme of the initiative:
- Topic: How to strengthen TVET Systems through vocational excellence?
- Date: Monday, 16 November 2026
- Time: 10:30-12:00 CET
Centres of Vocational Excellence
Outstanding TVET centres can act as catalysts within wider skills ecosystems. Working together, these institutions can learn from one another, forge connections to the public sector and support innovation. By creating the conditions for institutions to continuously improve and respond to changing skills needs, these institutions can help to strengthen TVET systems. When supported by effective governance, quality assurance, and partnerships they contribute to more resilient TVET systems.
This webinar explores how the European Training Foundation (ETF) is supporting the identification and analysis of approaches to excellence through a ‘landscape mapping’, examining the enabling conditions that are rooted in different country contexts.
