For more than 20 years, the checklist has been providing guidance and support for interested parties when making the decision regarding appropriate continuing education and training activities both in terms of the specialist area and the individual concerned. It is intended mainly for those who are fundamentally already aware of which type of continuing education and training they are considering, however it is not a replacement for a one-to-one consultation.

The intention is that you use the content and central questions of the sign posts to obtain information from continuing education and training providers or from their employment agencies, and that you compare the information in order to then make your decision. It is well worth the effort.

To help make it easier to use, key terms are listed and explained alphabetically at the end of the checklist in a glossary. The sign post also includes an overview of funding opportunities as well as checklist for comparing continuing education and training providers.
