Selected bibliographies

The Specialist Information Service provided by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) offers ‘selected bibliographies’ compiling literature on various topics in the field of vocational education and training research, politics and practice. They provide an overview of the current literature on a particular vocational education and training topic.

The topic-based selected bibliographies usually contain dependent literature such as articles that have been published in journals and compilations and which are of relevance to vocational education and training research due to their topicality and citability.

When it comes to preparing the selected bibliographies, academic publications by various stakeholders from the vocational education and training community are taken into account, as are new aspects arising from the discussion of a vocational education and training topic.

The selected bibliographies are regularly updated and are additionally stored in BIBB’s VET Repository as of 2020. This provides users with a convenient means of researching older editions of the literature collections.
