The Evaluation of the Service Center for Professional Recognition (ZSBA) has started
BIBB has been carrying out an evaluation of the ZSBA to monitor whether it is achieving its objectives in terms of offering advice to skilled workers living abroad who are interested in migrating to Germany and in obtaining recognition for their qualifications.
The German cabinet has approved the report of the BMBF on the Recognition Act. The report consolidates the findings of the BIBB Recognition Monitoring Project. Almost 280,000 applications have so far been made for the recognition of foreign professional qualifications.
BIBB evaluation of professional and occupational recognition
An investigation conducted by the BIBB shows that recognition of applications submitted from abroad is already working well. The stakeholders involved, however, believe that there is still room for improvement.

OECD interested in skills analysis
At the OECD workshop "Unlocking the potential of migrants through VET" on 8 March, Dr. Jessica Erbe informed experts from other countries about the experiences with the Recognition Act and skills analysis. Skills analysis can help to obtain professional recognition if documents are missing.
