New presidency of the Alliance in Latin America and the Caribbean
The Peruvian National Service for Industrial Vocational Training (SENATI) is taking over the 4th presidency of the Alliance for dual VET in Latin America and the Caribbean. The BIBB has been supporting the Alliance in technical and strategic matters since its foundation.
Alliance for Dual VET in Latin America and the Caribbean
The year 2025 was another milestone for the Alliance. Under the presidency of the Brazilian vocational training institution SENAC and in collaboration with BIBB and ILO/Cinterfor, important initiatives and events were organised.
VET institutions from around 15 countries met in Rio de Janeiro for the Alliance for dual VET in Latin America and the Caribbean conference, hosted by the Brazilian VET service SENAC. The conference provided a platform for voices from practice, employers, and science.
From 22 October, VET institutions from numerous Latin American countries will gather in Rio de Janeiro. They will exchange views on current challenges in the implementation of dual training programmes. BIBB is organising the conference together with its local partners.
Dual curricula in international comparison – BIBB in dialogue with Mexico and Peru
How can dual curricula be designed in such a way that they meet national quality standards, remain flexible at regional level and meet the requirements of the labour market? This question was the focus of the third video conference of the Alliance for dual VET in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Dual training in the digital transformation in Latin America
The second webinar on 'Dual training in the digital transformation in Latin America' took place on 26 June 2025. Organised by the coordination group of the Alliance for Dual Training in Latin America and the Caribbean, of which the BIBB is a member, the focus was on the use of digital technologies.
On June 3, 2025, the virtual expert forum “The Impact of Digital Transformation on Dual VET” took place – organized by the Alliance for Dual Vocational Education and Training in Latin America and the Caribbean. More than 200 participants attended the event.
New presidency of the Alliance for VET in Latin America and the Caribbean
At the invitation of the presidency of the Alliance for VET in Latin America and the Caribbean, INFOTEP, BIBB and ILO/Cinterfor, the members of the Alliance and representatives from politics, business and practice discussed the pillars of dual VET at an international conference in Santo Domingo.
Another partner in vocational education and training in Latin America
With the signing of a cooperation agreement, BIBB and the Inter-American Centre for Knowledge Development in Vocational Training of the International Labour Organization (ILO/Cinterfor) deepen their commitment and interest in working and learning together in vocational education and training.
