Cooperation with partner institute on the Philippines

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and BIBB have been working together since September 2014 on the basis of an institutional cooperation agreement covering the topic of cost-benefit analyses.

Since December 2014, BIBB has been advising its partner institute the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the PCCI Human Resources Development Foundation (PCCI HRDF) on the Philippines on the theme of vocational training cost-benefit analyses on behalf of the development organisation sequa.

BIBB is providing support for the preparation and execution of a cost-benefits analysis into VET on the Philippines and for the processing of the results.

Initial outcomes were presented at the 3rd Regional Vocational Education and Training Conference in Laos and at a Stakeholder Workshop in Manila. The final results are expected to be available in June 2016.

Cooperation takes place on the basis of a bilateral agreement between BIBB and TESDA concluded within the scope of the third party funded “K to 12 Plus Pilot Project on Dual Vocational Education and Training” (www.k-12plus.org/).
